A Note From My Mother
As the director of the Trans Justice Funding Project please bare with me as I take a moment to get a little personal.
Yesterday I received this message from my mother, one of the biggest supporters I have ever had.
She wrote, “Count me in. I will donate today. I look forward to being able to help the trans communities throughout this country find the services & opportunities so desperately needed in their lives daily to have a safe & fair living environment. May TJFP be in our lives for a long, long time.”
I’m sharing this with you because I think this is an extraordinary example of what trans justice looks like. Sometimes trans justice means marching in the streets, getting our people organized and fighting for big wins. And sometimes trans justice is being and ally that wants to make sure trans communities have what they need to survive.
TJFP excepts donations all year round but as we are approaching the end of our April Fundraising Campaign, please consider helping us make our $15,000 goal by THIS THURSDAY.
Every little bit goes a long way!
