Trans* Healthcare Now! is this year’s Pride theme. We joined the campaign, begun by the Sylvia Rivera Law Project and Audre Lorde Project, to repeal the 1998 Medicaid exclusions that stopped allowing trans* (transgender, gender queer, gender non-conforming, two spirit, third gender, etc) clients from accessing health care deemed necessary by their providers, including gender-affirming surgery, hormones, and preventative check-ups. We know that healthcare is a human right deserved by all, regardless of income, gender identity and/or expression
