TJFP at Funding Forward 2016

We are so excited to be here at  Funding Forward 2016, the annual gathering of grantmakers committed to LGBTQ issues, hosted by Funders for LGBTQ Issues. Executive Director, Gabriel Foster presented at the plenary session on “Trans Justice Funding and Organizing: Honoring Legacies and Building Futures, alongside Shelby Chestnut from the New York City Anti-Violence Project, Patricia Eng at New York Women’s Foundation, Andy Marra at the Arcus Foundation, and Isa Noyola from the Transgender Law Center.

We also had the opportunity to share more about TJFP’s funding structure at a workshop on “Transformative Giving Models to Fund Transformative LGBTQ Activism.” It was such a treat to be able to share space with folks like, Miabi Chatterji at the LGBTQ Racial Justice Fund and Dr. Alice Y. Horn from AAPIP and hear about their work with donor and giving circles.
